Description

An Oberheim Matrix 1000 analog rack synthesizer, personally signed and inscribed "Martyn 3024" on the underside of the unit. Produced between 1987 and 1994, the Matrix 1000 distilled the voice architecture of the acclaimed Matrix 6 into a compact, single rack-space module. Despite its sparse, knob-less front panel, the Matrix 1000 became one of the most widely used analog modules of its era, prized for its lush pads, thick basses and unmistakably warm Oberheim character. It has been used by artists ranging from Fatboy Slim and Future Sound of London to Depeche Mode and the Pet Shop Boys
